a lot of และ lots of: ใช้ได้ทั้งกับคำนามนับได้และนับไม่ได้ กล่าวคือ หากใช้กับคำนามนับได้ คำนามนั้นจะต้องเป็นพหูพจน์เท่านั้น แต่หากใช้กับคำนามนับไม่ได้ จะใช้กับรูปเอกพจน์ มักจะใช้กับประโยคบอกเล่า ที่เป็นภาษาพูด หรือภาษาเขียนที่ไม่เป็นทางการ lots of จะมีความไม่เป็นทางการมากกว่า a lot of

a lot of / lots of  +  นามนับได้พหูพจน์ / นามนับไม่ได้
A lot of people went to the concert. / Lots of people went to the concert. มีคนจำนวนมากไปดูคอนเสิร์ต
